Christophe Pham: a commitment to resilient and responsible digital technology

Christophe Pham is an active advocate for responsible and resilient digital technology in France. As founder and head of Infogreen Factory, a consultancy and training organisation established in July 2020, he helps organisations adopt more sustainable technology practices. In response to today’s interconnected crises, his ambition is to promote digital technology that is sustainable, eco-designed, accessible and resilient: technology that respects planetary boundaries while meeting ethical and societal responsibilities.

Aware of the vulnerabilities of information systems in a changing environment, Christophe Pham works to raise awareness and encourage action. He urges businesses to examine their dependence on digital tools. In his view, adapting to contemporary disruptions, including climate change, biodiversity loss and resource scarcity, is a strategic necessity. Organisations must anticipate tangible risks such as water shortages, droughts, flooding and geopolitical tensions affecting the entire digital value chain.

He compares traditional business continuity and disaster recovery plans to “vaccines against well-known diseases”. In an increasingly unpredictable world, however, the threats facing digital technology are systemic and often unprecedented or underestimated. Organisations therefore need to rethink their approaches to become as adaptable as possible to “unknown diseases”. This vision is also explored in Infogreen Factory’s white paper Voyage vers la robustesse, written by Stephan Peccini, which sets out a demanding but necessary path towards transforming digital technology.

Alongside his work at Infogreen Factory, an organisation recognised for its innovative cooperative model and certified to level 2 of the Numérique Responsable label, Christophe Pham is deeply involved in the technology ecosystem. He is a board member of Alliance Green IT (AGIT) and a member of the Institut du Numérique Responsable (INR), where he contributes to projects including the Ambassadors programme. He also sits on the methodological committee of the Digital Resilience Index (IRN) and co-founded the Toulouse-based Good IT collective.

A speaker at major events such as GreenTech Forum and We do Green IT, he combines a clear-eyed assessment of today’s challenges with a determined belief in collective innovation. Rejecting paralysing pessimism, Christophe Pham sees the transition as an opportunity to reinvent digital technology and rethink professional collaboration, making cooperation rather than competition his guiding principle.
